If the blue sky (if there was when this was taken) it could have been a great contrast against the orange koi. However the green hue of then leaves gives a good contrast as well.
This is one of the few photos I've encountered that the moment I gaze upon it, imagination soars. I can hear the water splashing, as it travels from one flat slab of rock down to the other, finally reaching to the bottom where it is far more peaceful.
This invokes the sanctuary, the labyrinth of our thoughts. :)
Alas, there were no blue skies that day. Even if there was, this pond had a black screen roof that filtered off some of the daylight. But I will make a note of the orange-on-blue color contrast for future pictures. :-)#
