In Profile: Chai

In Profile is a short feature of a person I’ve had the privilege of making a picture with. It doesn’t only showcase the photos, but also offers a glimpse into the life of the subject — a rather light-hearted take at that.

  1. Now, I understand the effect of the diffuser, P're. If I remembered correctly, that spot on the stairs was dark. If it will be just the handheld flash, the light will be concentrated to Chai's face or to whichever part of her body. Or the diffusion of the light will be uneven. Am I correct? But with the diffuser, the light is hmm..diffused evenly to the surroundings.

  2. That's right, P're. You basically spread what was a concentrated light source over a large area. Diffused light is soft and is usually more flattering to the subject in a portrait.

  3. I could have done a "Charita sleep" with my green shirt matching the beddings at Kota Beach. But I don't have a little green bag to complete the ensemble...

  4. I bet that would've been priceless.

  5. Jack, it would have been more priceless if we can use "puso" to replace the bag. Good thing, Ising and I forgot. We find ways.
