Distilled Moments: Network Busy

Network Busy

Words travel through the air
Finding themselves lost.
A mire of broken
Promises and lost souls,

Awaiting oblivion.
Lies told at the speed of light —
Breaking hearts in a wink,
Fetching tears from her eyes.

No beep, no buzz, no cheer;
Just whispers to limbo.

  1. I tried my hand at free verse with this piece. I imposed a syllabic pattern though to steer clear of the line that separates prose from verse. Yeah, the word 'free' is something of an irony. :)#

  2. Absolute freedom leads to irresponsibility. Free verse poetry is a victim of this. Just like abstract art.

  5. @Janjan — Thanks. There's a long (and taxing) story behind this image. I hurriedly shot this picture of my colleague behind a door at a (chemistry) congress.
